            VEGAN CHRISTMAS TREE WITH RAW GREEN PESTO

            Hello to all the friends of CRUDIGNO!

            We know that during the holidays sometimes you overdo it with elaborate dishes that can be heavy so today we have decided to offer you a totally vegan delicious appetizer withCRUDIGNO GREEN Pesto! This way you will know how to make all your guests happy.

            INGREDIANTS

            • (500 + 50) gr of flour 00
            • 10 gr Salt
            • 150 gr Water
            • 200 gr vegetable margarine
            • 260 gr CRUDIGNO Green Pesto
            • 8 Pachino tomatoes

            PREPARATION

            The first step is to prepare the vegan puff pastry whose procedure is divided into two parts: crazy dough and block.

            For the crazy dough, dissolve the salt in the water and add it to 500 grams of flour in a bowl. Mix for about 15/20 minutes. Leave to rest for about 30 minutes in the fridge.

            For the dough, mix the margarine and 50 grams of flour in a bowl. Pour the dough onto baking paper and shape it into a loaf, then put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

            Now, with the help of the flour, roll out the crazy dough and place the dough in the middle. Then, close the crazy dough on top of the dough by bringing the 4 corners to the center. Now roll out the dough by making 3 rounds of dough every 30 minutes of minutes in the fridge (in total 1 hour), in this way the two doughs mix: roll out a rectangle with a rolling pin, bring the low side to the center and then the high one, now turn the dough and start over. The important thing is to always follow the same sequence and always turn the dough on the same side.

            Our dough is ready. We divide it into two parts and roll them out both to create a thin sheet.

            We take the first sheet of pasta and pour on it the Pesto Verde CRUDIGNO trying to follow the shape of a star first, then a triangular shape and finally a rectangle for the trunk. Cover with the second sheet.

            At this point, we cut the pastry at the edges of the pesto: We can already see our tree taking shape!

            Cut the branches laterally, leaving the “trunk” in the center. Each strip will then be turned over on itself twice and close the ends with your fingers.

            Place the cherry tomatoes on your tree as if they were balls.

            Your sapling is ready to be baked at 180/200 ° for about 30 minutes.

            This appetizer is not only a tasty idea for your vegan friends but also for your children who do not digest much fish from the tradition of Christmas Eve.
