The modern nutritional science states that the daily
energy requirements include approx 30% of fats divided between
monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fats.
The perfectly
balanced oil does not exist and the ideal thing is to assimilate fats
from several sources; this means to consume different Oils obtained from
seeds and fruits, which permits us to assimilate various nourishments
and it’s the best for the whole family’s wellness.
For several years
the fats have been wrongly sentenced and almost completely removed from
every diet, because they were considered responsible of obesity and of
some negative consequences on the health.
As a matter of fact, we
should distinguish the different kind of fats to be fit in the daily
diet and consider them as essentials in the human nutrition. Actually,
the fats are not only at the basis of our evolution (for example, our
neurons are, for more than 60%, made up of fat), but they also carry out
very important functions; for example, the fats of our diet release the
basic elements for the construction of the cellular membranes and for
the correct functioning of the immune system. Among the fat acids, we
need to underline the importance of Linoleic Acid (LA 18:2 Omega 6) and
Alpha-Linolenic Acid (LNA 18:3 Omega 3), which represent the precursors
respectively of the Omega 6 and Omega 3, essential fatty acids, so
called because the organism is not able to synthesize them, therefore
they have to be introduced through the daily diet.
These are exactly
the fat acids contained in the oils we daily produce for you.
